TEREVERSE
EXPERIMENT 02 / LIGHT

MUSIC PROVES THE ENGINE. NOW, TRAVERSE LIGHT.

The next terrain
is visible.

FretboardGPS maps pitch across independent, interdependent strings. LIGHT preserves that structure and exchanges each string for a bounded wavelength channel.

Same state. Same constraint. Same deterministic traversal. A completely different result.

WHAT LIGHT REVEALS

The engine is not the instrument.

Music was the first terrain and remains the proof. LIGHT shows that the underlying machinery addresses states, applies constraints, finds legal neighbors, and builds repeatable paths without depending on a guitar-shaped output.

01 / STATE Every spectral configuration has an exact address.

Six 401-position channels create 4,157,825,282,402,401 bounded configurations.

02 / TRANSITION Every recorded move is legal and inspectable.

One edge changes one channel by exactly one integer nanometer—never more.

03 / TRAVERSAL The same endpoints always produce the same route.

Round-robin dimension order makes the path deterministic, reproducible, and testable.

04 / SCALE The terrain is calculated on demand.

The engine visits the requested path and local neighborhood, not the quadrillion-state whole.

DISPLAY SCOPE

This experiment models integer wavelengths in the commonly cited 380–780 nm visible range. Monitor RGB is only an approximation of spectral color: it cannot reproduce arbitrary physical spectra, intensity, polarization, material response, or human perceptual variability. The traversal semantics are exact; the rendered color is explanatory, not laboratory colorimetry.
